BBC Radio 5 LIVE

Iris participated On the Money program of BBC Radio 5LIVE from 13 February 2011 to 1 June 2014.  

 

 ‘On the Money’ is a weekly programme of the BBC’s Radio 5 LIVE: It’s Declan Curry with a  lively analysis of the big business stories making the headlines. Iris introduces business  Chinese culture, philosophy and traditional values that influence modern economic  management as well as some Chinese phrases to the BBC audiences.  

 

 

 

How to deliver Mandarin language as well as the insights of business Chinese culture in 5 minutes to the radio audiences is a big challenge. It requests creativity, logical thinking and focusing on results. Iris had taught 76 lessons during the four years.  We received a lot of positive feedback from the audiences.  

 

The BBC has a respectful culture, full of professional, creative and passionate people. Working with the team, Iris has made good progress by meeting with over 200 guest speakers, excellent British business leaders, high fly CEO of big cooperation as well as passionate entrepreneurs from all fields. It has opened Iris’ view of different sectors and gives a wide updated knowledge and insights of British business at a high lever. 

 

Iris thanks BBC for giving her this opportunity. This gave her a fantastic big platform to create a more positive impact on people and add value to the cultural bridge building between the UK and China.
